In the News – March 20 , 2007 Derek Tonn presented a 75-minute session on the benefits of graphics optimization to a group of approximately 60 marketing and web development professionals at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) annual conference in San Diego, California. The session included an overview of bandwidth consumption, along with how to select the optimal file formats for one's imagery and the tools that are available that enable the generation of the smallest file sizes possible. Approximately 25 minutes were also spent taking live examples off the internet from attendee web sites, then illustrating the various optimization techniques and resulting file sizes in front of them. |
