In the News – October 17, 2006 Derek Tonn presented a 75-minute session on the benefits of graphics optimization to a group of approximately 100 map design professionals at the Practical Cartography Day portion of the North American Cartographic Information Society (NACIS) annual conference in Madison, Wisconsin. The session included an overview of bandwidth consumption, along with how to select the optimal file formats for one's imagery and the tools that are available that enable the generation of the smallest file sizes possible. |
